Ron Henzell would be the first to tell you that his life before he met the woman who saved him was a total waste. Yet when you read his account of those early years spent in detention centres and eventually jail, you can easily see how it happened. A boy acting out the part that society expected of him. Born in a multi occupancy tenement (often several people to a room) in the notoriously crime ridden West End of Newcastle he felt he never truly had an option.
